Tahoe Getaway

On Thursday night, we drove up to Tahoe. We stayed at the Embassy Suites and in one of the four balcony suites. It was SO nice. We have decided that it is nice to splurge once in a while.

The amenities in the room included: toothbrushes, combs, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, Scope mouthwash, mens and womens deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, and a loofa!

A panoramic view from our balcony. Just beyond the trees is the Lake and mountains.

We ordered Creme Brulee and shared it out on our balcony that night. It was the most delicious creme brulee I have ever had!

Friday morning we walked around town and saw Sorcerer's Apprentice. We both really liked the movie.

We took a picture of this bench for my sister, Melanie, who loves wolves.

Here are our tickets for the Rascal Flatts concert!

Standing at our seats. We had GREAT seats, too! We were in row 12 just to the right of the stage. It was great!

Chris Young was the first opener. His two hits right now are Man I Want to Be and Getting You Home.

The second opener was Kellie Pickler.

This guy had made a cowboy hat out of a box for a pack of beer. It was pretty cool!

Rascal Flatts celebrating 10 years on the "Nothing Like This" tour.

The spotlights took out the detail in this picture, but from our seats we were even able to see facial expressions. Rascal Flatts put on a great concert. They were very into the audience and everybody had a great time.

Thought I would finish this up with what we get to come home to. Our wonderful dogs. We missed them and wished they could come with us, but this weekend was just for us. We are glad to be home but missing the beautiful weather of Tahoe.

We're Back

Bet you did not even know we were gone. Cameron had to work in Salt Lake City last week. So I tagged along (since they were paying for the hotel anyway). While we were there we surprised my Dad on Father's Day. He couldn't have been happier! It was great. We also saw the Draper, Jordan River, and Oquirrh Temples. The Moroni on the Oquirrh temple had been struck by lightning recently. Crystal and I got to hang out on Thursday. Then, that evening we went to Temple Square with my Dad, Crystal, and Richard (her husband). She has the photos from that so I am waiting for her to email them to me. She and Richard came home with us on Friday to surprise my Mom and to take our Kia back with them. Overall, it was a good week.

Disneyland Part 1

For Valentine's Day weekend, and to celebrate our 8th anniversary, we went to Disneyland! We had a great time and would like to share some of it with you. Let me preface this by saying that we tried out our new camera during this trip....more on that after these posts are done.

Here we are waiting to go into Innoventions and see the new Dream House.

In the afternoon, we checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Embassy Suites. It was so nice. The next morning, we had our complimentary made-to-order breakfast in the gorgeous atrium. These pictures just don't do justice to the beauty.

Thanksgiving Break 1

I am enjoying my week long vacation! However, we have been so busy that I have actually seen less of my husband these last three days than I do when I am working full time! Crystal, her husband, and David came in last night and we have been enjoying their company. Today, all the girls (Melanie, Crystal, my mom, and I) went to see the movie
.
I was not really into seeing the movie due to my opinion after reading the fourth book and because I did not think Edward was a good casting. The movie did, however, give a good representation of the book with only a few things left out. I also felt like the actor playing Edward did a good job and it is ok that he was cast for the role. My favorite scenes were when Edward took Bella up into the trees and the baseball game.
