SYTYCD Top 18

I know....I am totally into So You Think You Can Dance. Two of my favorite dances from last night were posted below but the user on youtube removed them. I really don't have a favorite dancer yet; but I have some opinions forming.

I can't stand Mary though. She is so annoying!

Joshua Allen! Congrats on the win, money, and movie role! All four of the finalists have a great future ahead of them, if not all of the top six or more!

SYTYCD Top 6

Wow! So, last night was certainly THE night to watch SYTYCD! I don't know how to choose which was my favorite....oh man! So...since I can't pick I will just post one dance from each of the couples. Each couple performed two dances and each dancer performed a solo.

Katee and Joshua got back together this week! The did a Paso Doble which was amazing and a contemporary with some great lifts/holds. Here is the contemporary:



Twitch and Chelsie did a Mambo and a fun Hip Hop routine. I have to say that I really love Tabitha and Napoleon's choreography. Here is the hip hop routine they choreographed:



Mark and Courtney danced a Viennese Waltz and a Jazz routine. Since I don't really get Jazz, I have posted the Waltz because it was beautiful and seemed effortless. I wish I could dance like that! Disclaimer: rehearsals were rough.

SYTYCD Top 8

Ok, so I know this post is a little late, but oh well. Can I just say that I am so glad Comfort is GONE? YES! Anyways, I thought this week was really good. Most of the dances were good. Only one or two were lacking (not to say they were not good, just not up to this level of the competition).

I really enjoyed Twitch and Katee's contemporary, the story of a couple who have a love/hate relationship.


Will and Courtney's Hip Hop, the story of a girl whose love has passed and she just wants to turn back time. The only one I could find that only had the dance was terrible and had an awful ear splitting pitch throughout, so you get the whole sha-bang!


Joshua and Chelsie's Disco, an amazing and fun dance with TONS of lifts! Way to be strong Joshua and confident that he would be there for you Chelsie! But....I could not find it online! UG. Sorry, I will keep trying.

I also liked Mark and Comfort's Hip Hop. Two students in detention get movin' when the teacher is gone.

SYTYCD and Job Hunt

Ok, so I have been slacking on SYTYCD posts....but I just can't not say anything about this one. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!!!! Jessica is gone so they bring back Comfort? UG! I wish they would have brought her back as a partner only, not a contestant and not kicked a girl off this week. But, noooooooooo! Not only is SHE back,

but this girl is gone! WHAT?!? OOOOOOO, that makes me mad!

Anyways, about my job hunt. I sent an email to my college classmates a few days ago asking about their job hunts. I was feeling discouraged because I have filled out over 75 applications and only had three interviews without success. I felt better when they emailed me back to say that they had not even gotten a phone call for an interview!!! UG. Well, I had my fourth interview yesterday and while I was driving to it (because none of them have been local) I got a phone call. It was from my second interview (that I thought I had bombed and I wasn't really happy with the way I felt there) and they offered me a job teaching first grade!!!!! I asked for the offer in writing and a few days to make my decision. We are fasting tomorrow. I don't know. We really need the blessing that we have been praying for and it would give me experience to be able to come back here and teach where I really want to be. But, I don't really want to live there and be four hours away from our families! It is so hard to make such a huge decision. What do you think?

SYTYCD - Top 14

Last night each couple danced twice. I have to say that I really like Chelsea H. and Mark! They are a great couple. I also think Courtney G. and Gev are a good pair. However, last night my favorite dance was once again by Twitch and Kherington. Here it is.

This dance had so much emotion in it! Great performance! I also really liked Joshua and Katee's Samba!

SYTYCD -- Favorite Dance of Top 18

So, wow! What emotion! This is by far my favorite from last night!! For anybody who doesn't watch, the choreographer created this for his daughter who lost all muscle control at 20 months old and says the only thing that makes her truly happy is watching people move. So this is dedicated to her! I loved it.

SYTYCD Season 4 Episode 6

My favorite dance from last week was danced by Katee and Joshua. They performed to the Jordin Sparks/Chris Brown song "No Air". What an amazing dance; props to the choreographers and dancers. The song/dance is beautiful. In case you did not watch, here it is and it is the story of a soldier who just got deployment papers.
