My Personal Trainer - Ariel

Today I met with Ariel. She does not look like this, but that was what I thought of when I found out her name.We met for 30 minutes so she could learn about me, do a quick evaluation, and start making a plan. We talked about food intake, water intake, injuries, likes/dislikes, health issues, and other background information. She wanted to know what weight I would like to be and I said that I had no idea what was appropriate. She asked what was the last weight I felt good at. I told her that the lowest weight I remember was when I was sixteen and still wasn't feeling great about myself. She asked how much weight I would like to lose and I said, "100 pounds; I think." She said that would be a healthy weight for me.

She asked me if there is anything I enjoy doing. I said, "I don't even know." She asked if there is anything I don't enjoy. I said, "working out". She laughed and said ok.

She had me do as many push-ups as I could. It was ok to do them on my knees due to my back injury and I did 10.

She had me do as many crunches as possible in 60 seconds. She wanted me to go up high enough to get my shoulders off the ground, but I couldn't do that. So, she said just to go up as far as I could. I did 45, but don't know if they all counted. Then she watched me from three different angles do squats.

She wants me to do 30-45 minutes of cardio tomorrow. We meet for our first session on Wednesday at 8:30 for one hour. She wants me to do cardio daily. She also has her degree in nutrition, so we talked about that and she said that if I wanted we could spend one session doing a nutrition evaluation and class.
