What did you do this weekend?

I went to Del Oro's last regular season game. Mark Macklamore was honored for being the first D.O. Grad to go into the MLB! He was there when we were! I started a novel (over 500 pages) and neglected my homework. I played tennis with my mom and Sean for 2 hours. I baked 36 cheese puffs for a ward dinner and we went to the dinner. We went to church and visited family. I almost finished the novel, but the weekend isn't over for me since today the schools are celebrating Veteran's Day! I should finish it today; but I need to also think about my homework, ug.

Last week, we walked 7.5 miles and played tennis twice. On Saturday we played for 2 hours! Time flies! I did well while eating meals but snacking killed me. This week, our goals are to walk 8 miles, do a long activity on Saturday, and eat well. I also really need to focus on controlling my snack intake. I took some "before" pictures late last week. Really they are "in progress" pictures but good enough. At this point I am down 18 pounds from my highest weight earlier this year. I hope controlling my snacks will help me start to lose weight again. Well, here I am, UG! It can only get better, right?

Great job!
Dr. Laura suggests this:
Before you eat a meal, drink two 8oz. glasses of water and 1 apple, then wait 20 minutes before eating the meal. That way you aren't as hungry and won't eat too much. Everyone wants that "full" feeling after a meal and if you are depriving yourself of food in order to lose weight, you'll end up snacking later on 'cause your starving. So that water and apple help you achieve that full feeling without too many extra calories.
Worth the try?!?!

I will totally play tennis with you, dude! I'll bring my racket with me when we come home next week.... just in case there is time! :)
